Dubai is the busiest private-aviation market between Europe and Asia — and Al Maktoum, in Dubai South, is the airport built to handle it without a single airline queue.
Dubai International (DXB) still takes private traffic, but it shares its slots with one of the busiest airline airports on the planet. Al Maktoum International — DWC — was built for the other kind of flying: dedicated executive terminals, its own customs and immigration channels, and enough ramp space to host the MEBAA show, the Middle East's business-aviation fair.
The route map runs in every direction. Short Gulf hops to Doha, Riyadh and Abu Dhabi fill the light and midsize fleet; the Indian subcontinent is under four hours; and Europe is a single heavy-jet leg — London in about seven hours, Paris in six and a half. That mix of long sectors and constant repositioning makes Dubai a regular fixture on our live empty-leg board.
